Fat Loss update time 1/23/07

Things are rolling along well right now. I weighed in at 257 this morning and it looks like my 2 days of eating whatever I wanted last week paid off.

I have really stuck with my diet for the past 5 days and things are really going well. I am not hungry at all. The worst day I day was Sunday and I was guilty of not eating enough.

I haven't really been active though. That's where I need to pick up the pace. Only exercise that I did yesterday was playing with my 2 year old nephew. That was way more fun then the gym anyway.

Damn, it is nice to feel good again.

Fat Loss update..... sorta

I have had two bad days in a row. I originally thought that I would just have a day where I would eat anything that I wanted because I thought that I needed it to make my diet more effective.

Truth is that I was just weak and lazy. And sore.

I did a total body workout Monday night and it went well. I did a nice 3x5 with a nice warm up. Totally safe and sane. Felt good Tuesday and hit the treadmill for 30 minutes that night.

Wednesday came and I felt like I had been beat with a baseball bat. People at work are laughing at me because of how I was walking. I figured I was sore because of the PSMF and weights so I needed to eat. That thought snowballed and here I am at 267 today.

So what is my plan?

It appears that I have to get into shape to lift weights. Ain't that some shit? So what I am thinking is that I should walk and do some body weight stuff before the I hit the weights again.

I am back on point today. I know I cant just say fuck it like usual and start back into it Monday because that is what got me into this position today.

I will post my plan later.

Week 2 update.

I start week 2 of my 12 week challenge at 264 pounds. I have gotten my body back into balance over the first week so now is when I can start to make progress.

This week I have to really concentrate on diet and exercise in order for me to make progress. My water weight is gone so now is when actual fat loss progress can be made.

The plan for week 2 is to continue my PSMF and add in 4 workouts this week. I need 2 weight workouts and 2 cardio workouts. I also need to make sure I don't go overboard on these workouts because of the low calories.

My goal is to see a 259 on the scale sometime between now and next Monday.

Wish me luck!

Weekend update

I weighed in at 259 this morning. Not bad for a Monday morning. I usually wreck my diet on the weekend but I didn't do too bad.

I went to a wedding on Saturday and I really enjoyed the meal at the reception. Beef fillet, crabcake, mushroom chicken, mixed veggies, crab dip, chocolate fondue fountain, ect. Top that off with a few beers later and some late night junk food and you have a good cheat meal. But I knew this was going to be the case so I kept everything else in check over the whole weekend.

I need to drink more water on the weekends. I have been making this mistake for months and I need to change this.

I plan to go to the gym tonight and get in a nice and easy workout.

Things are going well. Lets see if it stays that way.

Fat Loss Log for 6/9/06

I weighed in today at 260 pounds. That is a 4 pound drop from yesterday. Yesterday's diet went well. I think in the end it was low on protein but it was good. Here is what it looked like yesterday.....

  • Breakfast....... 40 gram protein shake
  • Lunch............32 gram protein shake
  • Dinner...........2 hamburger patties, steamed broccoli, peas
  • Night.............32 gram protein shake

I probably come in about 30 grams of protein short.

Here is my diet plan for today.

  • Eggbeaters (about a cup)
  • 32 gram protein shake
  • can of tuna
  • 40 gram protein shake
  • salad with some type of meat

That should put me near my protein goals. I still need more veggies but I will phase them in slowly.

I still feel strong. Forty more pounds to go. I'm going to need my strength.

Midweek weigh in

I couldn't resist myself this morning and I weighed myself. I weighed in at 261 pounds. That's good because that is what I want to weigh in Friday.

Yesterdays diet was not that good but I will survive. It looked like this....

  • Breakfast..... Hoods low carb milk and an apple
  • Lunch......... Protein Shake and an Apple
  • Afternoon.... Crispy Club chicken sandwich from McDonald's
  • Night......... Slice of Mushroom Pizza

That's pretty shitty now that I look at it. Not near enough protein. Today is starting off the same way.

I plan on hitting the weights tonight. My groin has healed up so I don't have any excuses.

Overall, I am feeling good. It's about time.

May 25, 2006

I have done some bad things.

I have done some bad things.

  • I ate at Chick-Fil-A last night. I had been craving it all week and i gave in last night. I had the combo with the big waffle fries (waffle fries are the best) and a large diet coke. The rest of my diet wasn't bad yesterday. Two protein shakes and ham and scrambled eggs and cheese.
  • I weighed myself this morning. I weighed in at 257. I picked a terrible day to weigh myself because of the salty waffle fries I ate last night. I am probably retaining some water because of that. I didn't piss ass much this morning so I knew something was up.

My groin feels much better. I can still feel some pain if I move a certain way but I think it will be ok.

I plan on giving it a go in the gym tonight. If I am smart I can get in a good workout and not cripple myself so the keyword tonight is caution. But sometimes I am not Albert Einstein when it comes to doing the right thing so its extremely likely that I will be on here tomorrow talking about a setback with my groin. I am still going but it just may not be good.

I'll tell you all how much I am limping tomorrow.

Fat Loss Log for 5/23/06

Everything went well diet wise yesterday. I may have come up light in protein but I did what I had to do. Here is what it looked like.

  • 2 Protein shakes
  • 3 slices of roast beef and 3 slices of cheese
  • grilled tuna
  • bowl of vegetable beef soup
  • pint of hoods low carb fat free milk

I was probably higher in the fat department then I would like but I can live with yesterday.

I still haven't weighed myself this week. I'm trying to hold of until Monday but I am a scale whore so we shall see if I can hold off that urge.

Fat Loss Diet Log 5/22/06

I had a very good day yesterday. My diet went well. Here are the details.

  • 3 protein shakes. The last one was made with 16 ounces of hoods low carb milk.
  • Large grilled chicken breast.
  • 2 slices of Roast Beef and 2 slices of cheese.

That was a good low carb day to get back into the week. I plan to have a similar day today. I need to add more vegetables to my diet.

My workout yesterday was good also. I did a long depletion workout and a hard 20 minutes on the elliptical machine. I can tell a difference in my body today. A good day of PSMF dieting and a carb depletion workout can really burn off any bloat that has been picked up.

Tonight's workout will be the sprint 8's. It was torturous Friday but kinda fun so I am gonna do it again.

I'm still fighting the urge to weigh myself every morning. It was tough this morning but I made it. I think I'm going to put my scales away until Mondays weigh in. That will solve a lot of the problem.

I'm starting to feel stronger mentally with each passing day. I am once again believing that I am going to reach my goals and that is 99 percent of the war. It feels good to start to believe in yourself again. I will never let anyone take that away from me again. I'm going to come out of this stronger and better.

I wonder if the butterfly feels like this before he comes out of his cocoon?
